Welcome to the Optometry Board of South Australia
The Optometry Board of South Australia is constituted under the provisions of Part 2 Division 1 of the Optometry Practice Act 2007 as a body corporate.
The Board is directly responsible to the Minister for Health for all matters relating to the administration of the Optometry Practice Act 2007 and the Optometry Practice Regulations.
The primary goal of the Board is to ensure the enforcement of the Optometry Practice Act 2007. This objective is achieved through the promotion and maintenance of high professional standards both of competence and conduct in the practice of Optometry in South Australia.
